Testing Results of Lead Levels in Newark’s Water Show Significant Drop

In May 2019, the City of Newark placed a new orthophosphate treatment system online. Since the new system was placed online, sampling has shown a continued drop in lead levels. The most recent sampling showed the lead levels have dropped below the federal exceedance levels.
